Pharmacist

Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care services; direct clinical and distributive pharmacy services to ambulatory clinic patients.  Under general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and in collaboration with primary care providers and staff to improve the health of Community Health Center of the Black Hills (CHCBH) patients.  The Pharmacist ensures compliance with South Dakota State Board of Pharmacy.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  •  Dispensing medications
  •  Assisting CHCBH staff and patients with drug information and identification
  •  Developing and sustaining productive patient relationships
  •  Evaluating and resolving potential drug therapy problems identified through any and all available sources
  •  Patient counseling
  •  Prescription verification
  •  Adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws
  •  Preceptor students and interns
  •  Supervise pharmacy technicians

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Community Health Center of the Black Hills is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric services at our main location. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsibe for providing services necessary for the promotion of optimal mental health, prevention and treatment of psychiatric disorders, and health maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Psychiatric evaluations within a primary care setting
  • Provide crisis intervention
  • Ongoing psychopharmacological management
  • Conduct peer reviews with managed care companies
  • Work within a multidisciplinary treatment team
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in psychiatric treatment of all ages with prior experience as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
  • MSN
  • Valid prescriptive authority in the state of South Dakota, Federal DEA, State Controlled and current nationally recognized board certification

Patient Medications Specialist

Ensures patients are able to obtain the highest level of primary health care available through a system of quality pharmaceutical procurement. Schedules patient appointments to meet with her/him to complete applications, obtain refills, provide patient education, and remind patients of timely re-application. Promotes patient participation and their responsibility in the process to obtain and finance medications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Perform inventory counts
  • File paperwork
  • Stock / rotate inventory
  • Schedule appointments
  • Provider signature on applications
  • Fax applications
  • Follow-up with Pharmaceutical company on medications
  • Answer patient telephone inquiries regarding medication needs within 1 working day
